What do you get when a Russian rocker and an American folk singer get together? You get a duo called K, that's right, K like the letter in the alphabet. You also get a fresh, sexy new sound that Rolling Stone Magazine called pop-rock with a "country-gothic" twist. K is the conception of vocalist duo Alex Gorshenev, frontman for Russian rock super-group Kukryniksy, and American singer Stephanie Starr, who lends her sultry, countryesque vocals to Gorshenev's dark, menacing sensuality. K will be an easy letter to remember when K's new maxi single, Last Resort, hits the shelves in early January.
Fusing hard rock riffs, dark electronica undertones, pop rhythms, and multi-layered vocal harmonies, K is a fresh, new sound that stands out among the myriad of grunge-like acts that dominate adult alternative and rock radio. A veteran musician and bona fide rock star in his native Russia, Gorshenev spent the year with Starr in Colorado, recording at Studio Novi Records. Alex and Stephanie are joined by Dima Gusev on guitar, Dima Oganyan on bass guitar, Michael Fomin on drums. The full-length LP is scheduled for release in early 2010 and will feature tracks from the maxi single as well as an additional list of original K compositions. The new maxi single, Last Resort by K is currently in post-production and will be on sale in January.
Если честно, я в шоке...я послушала песни, чудный горшеневский вокал забивается женским...лучше б он один пел.
